Our Journey: From Accessories to RC Pioneer
Founded by Tatsuro Watanabe in Southern California, HPI began as a small venture focused on RC car accessories. Our journey took off when our Uno motors won a World Championship title in 1987, establishing HPI as a competitive force in the RC industry. This early success allowed us to quickly expand our product line, culminating in the launch of our first car kit, the Super F1.
Over the years, HPI has become synonymous with iconic RC models, including the Nitro RS4, the legendary Savage monster truck, and the Baja 1/5 scale vehicles. Each design reflects our commitment to quality and performance, earning accolades from fans and media alike.
