Pintoy® products are made in Thailand from rubberwood that are sourced from latex plantations. According to the manufacturer, tree plantations that no longer produce enough latex are cut and new trees are replanted which gives those trees dual purpose. Studies show that rubber plantations can be as efficient as natural forest in removing carbon-dioxide from the air, by converting it into rubber latex, soil and wood - making rubberwood an environmentally friendly choice.Pintoy® toy products are designed to combine beauty, educational value, enjoyment, safety, functionality and durability. Pintoy® toy products are also tested against the European toy safety standard EN71 to ensure physical and mechanical safety, and freedom from hazardous lead and heavy metal migration.

The manufacturer began production of wooden toys back in 1987.
